Readers Become Leaders is a community literacy initiative by NCAA Team Works, striving to ignite a lifelong passion for learning among young people. In 2015, the NCAA and the College World Series of Omaha partnered with the Omaha Public Schools to support the Readers Become Leaders program.

This initiative provides reading incentives throughout the academic year, including opportunities for top readers to win tickets to a College World Series Game and receive recognition for their achievements. Students are encouraged to read regularly and submit book reviews. The goal is to help increase the reading proficiency of 3^rd grade students.
