Allen ISD to use Helper Helper for Student Community Engagement
We’re excited to officially welcome Allen Independent School District to the Helper Helper family! 🎉 Allen is one of the most recognized school districts in Texas, and their commitment to student engagement and meaningful service mirrors everything we stand for.
Their high school staff jumped right into our free trial — testing features from both the student and staff sides — and we couldn’t have asked for a more engaged and thoughtful group. As Jennifer Clements from Allen HS put it:
“As five of us have played around in the free trial, as both a volunteer and staff member, we have a list of questions… more like a brain dump! The free trial has been incredibly helpful for all of us to see updated and upgraded features and possibilities. And it’s been exciting to view your IG account and to see all of the NCAA schools that partner with you guys! Wow!”
Thank you, Jennifer — we’re honored to be part of your community and thrilled that the trial helped your team envision what’s possible.
Helping Texas Schools Adopt Faster
Behind the scenes, we’ve also taken key steps to make it easier for other Texas districts to join Allen ISD and launch Helper Helper confidently:
✅ We’ve executed the Texas National Student Data Privacy Agreement (DPA) through the Student Data Privacy Consortium — making us compliant with state, local, and federal student data protections.
✅ We’ve enabled Exhibit E, allowing other Texas districts to opt into the same DPA agreement without needing to start from scratch.
✅ We’re ready to respond to RFPs and procurement requirements, and we’re actively exploring purchasing cooperatives and district contracts to streamline vendor approval under Texas state law.
So, whether your district needs to validate privacy standards, check procurement boxes, or simply test the platform — we’re ready.
Great Questions from Allen HS (That You Might Be Wondering Too!)
From photo submission settings to text message workflows, the Allen team asked sharp, practical questions during their trial. A few highlights:
-
Can cancellation emails be turned off?
Yes! You can toggle those off or set cancellation deadlines. -
Do we need to use validation keys for events?
Nope. Most schools now use a coordinator check-in link or QR code — it’s more intuitive and reliable. -
Will HH create duplicate accounts when uploading rosters?
No duplicates. Volunteers can belong to multiple teams under one account. -
Can we require a photo before submission?
Yes — use a custom survey that prompts for the photo during submission.
The questions we received showed us how committed Allen ISD is to getting it right from day one — and we’re here to help every step of the way.
If you’re a Texas district looking to simplify service tracking, recognize student contributions, and meet compliance requirements, let’s chat. Thanks again to Allen ISD for choosing Helper Helper — we can’t wait to grow together!
💬 Contact us or reach out directly if you’d like to explore how your district can get started quickly — maybe even piggyback off Allen ISD’s agreement!
