Keyla Paniagua Earns the Gold National Service Honor
We are proud to announce that Keyla Paniagua has earned the National Service Honor (Gold Level) for completing 500 hours of volunteer service between September 2024 and September 2025.
The National Service Honor, modeled after the paused Presidential Volunteer Service Award (PVSA), recognizes individuals across the country who demonstrate exceptional commitment to service in their communities. The program, administered by Helper Helper, celebrates youth, young adults, and adults who complete impactful volunteer service within a 12-month period or over a lifetime.
Ms. Keyla Paniagua was honored with the award at school with her parents present. Both the school guidance counselor and principal are pictured with Keyla and her recognition.
Castle View High School’s Use of Helper Helper
Since August Castle View HS students have completed 3,942 hours of community service. The organizations the students have dedicated the most time to are Stone Canyon Outdoor EdVentures, Castle Rock Middle School, and Clear Sky Elementary School.
The school organizes a number of tutoring events and community volunteer experiences through Helper Helper. Students can also self record service they do on their own. The school uses Helper Helper to track hours toward a 20 hour Douglas County School District graduation expectation.
Helper Helper encourages others to give back and consider applying for the National Service Honor. Individuals and organizations across the U.S. can learn more or apply for recognition at www.nationalservicehonor.com
